Elderly people are more susceptible to falls for a number of reasons. It is well known that those who experience a fall have poorer health outcomes. The NSW Government has developed a fantastic initiative that is aimed at preventing falls in older Australians living in the community. Stepping On is a seven week program that covers a range of issues for seniors, including falls, exercises and nutrition. As we age, requirements for certain nutrients change, which is covered in Stepping On.
