Conducted by Accredited Practising Dietitians with Expertise in early childhood nutrition, our ECEC menu review will help your service provide nutritious food that supports the learning, growth and development of all children in your care.
We will provide practical, achievable recommendations to ensure your menu aligns with children’s nutritional needs and meets recommendations for food provision in ECECs, while identifying opportunities to enhance quality and explosure to a wide vareity of foods.
Our aim is to help you make meaningful improvements to your menu while considering the realities of food provision in ECEC settings, including seasonal availability, food preferences, preparation, budget and service requirements.
What’s included?
- Up to four weeks of your services’s menu reviewed in detail
- Review of the menu against relevant recommendations from the Australian Dietary Guidelines and Infant Feeding Guidelines
- Consideration of children’s nutritional requirements across ages and stages
- Identification of opportunities to increase children’s exposure to a diverse range of nutritious foods
- Ensuring relevant National Quality Standard (NQS) requirements are being met
- A detailed written report outlining key findings and practical recommendations.
