Nutty oat bars

Enjoy these nutritious and satisfying snack bars without breaking the bank.


3⁄4Cuprolled oats
1⁄4CupHazelnuts (Roughly chopped)
1⁄4Cupwalnuts (Roughly chopped)
1⁄4Cupcashews (Roughly chopped)
1⁄4CupWhole pistachios
1⁄4CupDried cranberries
2 Eggs (Lightly beaten)
1Tablespoon (Metric)Salt reduced canola margarine (Melted)
1Teaspoon (Metric)cinnamon
1⁄3CupPlain wholemeal flour
1 1⁄2Tablespoon (Metric)brown sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 160C. Line a 20cm square baking tin with non stick baking paper.
  2. Place all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Toss well until fully combined and mixture is clumpy.
  3. Press into prepared baking tin. Bake for 20 minutes then cover with foil and cook for another 20 minutes until firm and golden. Cool and cut into bars.
