National Nutrition Week is 13-19 October 2019 and this year’s theme is all about how to try for five serves of vegetables each day by learning to embrace your food waste!

We all know veggies are good for us – Mum’s been telling us for years! Eating a healthy and balanced diet can help reduce the risk of many chronic diseases. But did you also know it can help us be happier, and may even help reduce the risk of developing depression?

Nutrition Australia NSW celebrated Women’s Health Week (2-6 Sept) by hosting a free morning tea on 4th September, with nutritional physiologist Assoc. Prof Kim Bell-Anderson (University of Sydney) speaking on women’s health and healthy aging. We partnered with SHARE to include a Sheng Zhen moving mediation at the event. 

Friday 30-8-2019

In August 2019, the Heart Foundation released updated dietary advice on the consumption of red meat, dairy, and eggs in light of revised evidence on how these foods impact heart disease risk.

Nutrition Australia applauds the Heart Foundation for reviewing the latest evidence on the impact of diet and heart disease, and for revising its advice to reflect the findings. Read more.
