Nutrition in Schools Advisory Service QLD (NISAS)

Nutrition Australia conducts a number of programs that support and promote nutrition in the school community. Nutrition Australia is a key advisory body to school principals, school teachers, parents, students, school canteens and food industry. Nutrition Australia has worked in the area of schools and tuck shops for over 15 years earning an excellent reputation in providing sound nutritional information and advice on a wide range of nutrition related issues in schools.

With the introduction of Education Queensland’s “Smart Choices” Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy, Nutrition Australia along with the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops have received some additional funding from Queensland Health to assist schools with the implementation of the Smart Choices strategy.

Nutrition Australia’s Nutrition in Schools Advisory service is available to all schools in Queensland and is targeted towards Principals, P & C’s and canteen convenors, teachers, students and parents - click on this link.
